I had to recover a HP computer recently and the owner had recovery discs too, but I cimpletely wiped the hard drive before I tried with the discs to recover and I am going home right now, but I have suscribed to this. I have the same problem. Although some files seem to be partially fried and it gives me an error about file cannot be spliced (or something similar).
